CNY Church Visitation »« saint gaming challenge organisers – qualification change
19 February 2007 — There has been a change to the requirements for students to be part of the organisers/marshal team for the tournament. The changes are as followed:
Previously, students must attain 60% overall for both common test and mid-year exam. Students will not be considered should they fail to achieve 60% in their common test.
Now, students must follow the pointing system. The system is as followed. ‘Common Test (30% weightage) + Mid-Year Exam (70% weightage) = 60 points (out of 100)
Admin Calculations
Common Test
Max Pts: 30 (100% CT)
Advised Pts: 18 (60% CT)
Lowest Pts: 16.5 (55% CT)
Mid-Year Exams
Max Pts: 70 (100% MYE)
Advised Pts: 42 (60% MYE)
Lowest Pts: 43.5 (55% MYE + Excess Pts Required to Cover for CT)
That is, Adv Pts + Adv Pts = 60, Lowest Pt + Lowest Pt = 60.
Students WILL BE ALLOWED to use excess points from common test for their mid year exam, in an event that they do badly. Excess points to be added to the MYE points will be divded by two before it is added to the points attained for MYE. This system also works otherwise. However, there will still be a cut-off point for organisers.
Students that fail to attain 18 points (ie. 55% overall) or higher for Common Test 1 will not be considered for the team.

for the first time ever, i got to end my common test week with a movie outing with my friends! but before that. post motem of my common tests lol!

we caught the movie called “Ghost Rider” at vivocity. once again, the vivo city logo irritated me time after time. but i got used to it haha. but the story is about some stunt guy being tricked into signing a contract for the Devil. Then…nahh i shan’t spoil the story. GO WATCH IT YOURSELF!

oh yeah before i show you the picture pradeep asked me to delete, carl’s jr is indeed a vegeterian’s nightmare! bought some bacon cheeseburger meal for lunch and paid SGD 8++. it’s darn expensive but heh. the serving was big! couldn’t finish my burger haha. too bad i didnt take any photo of it cause the rest were commenting on how much photos i take a day lol.

ooooooo it’s the time where i update about my “whereabouts” for common tests 1! let me make it short and simple cause i’m going back to studying physics soon.
- emaths was easyhard. luckily, only left out one part of a while question haha. so yeah. i’m fine with emaths
- social studies got screwed. dont know what the hell i was writing for source based. L1/L1 answers for both qns? most likely! history was alright. cept part a where it required us to state the factors that led to war in europe. state. wow. state! i went into detail for that part! and it was freaking worth 4m! and to think of it, i didnt really study the other part. but thank God for friends who tested me the night before the test!
tomorrow’s paper: english, physics
total papers estimated to screw up: 1.5 (chinese + social studies, not history) haha.
so yeah. geegeed. oh yeah. i screwed up my amaths on tuesday too! how wonderful!
