times have changed, kid

Categories: my boring life.

i’ve had one of the best time in my entire life.

i thought having a girlfriend, taking her out and more would be the best – but i was wrong.

i went to the sembawang airbase where a low-key airforce rehearsal was held today. never did i know that so many behind the scenes work were involved.

as a group consisting of Mrs Carol Yap, Mr Peter Tay, Mr Muthu, Kevin Su, Jonald and of course, me. we went to the control tower where we had a bird’s eye view of practically, everything.

ranging from the runway to the helicopters taxi-ing to the two runways at the sembawang airbase, i’ve left the place speechless.

recall the helicopters and fighter jets that fly past the seating place while you’re singing the national anthem and welcoming the president? no? well, it’s time you should – trust me.

the helicopters that fly past you have to be on the ball – a simple 1 second delay could jeopardize the whole thing – but you wouldn’t notice a single thing. why?

it’s because of “mother goose” – the cue master for this year’s NDP.

i’ve learnt to appreciate the NDP more. words can’t describe my experience today. – maybe i’m just too tired of typing now. i’m prolly conserving my energy cause i wanna sms (someone goes here) right now (:

this trip to sembawang airbase has changed one more of my perspective – national service. i always thought that national service was boring but training. but no, by seeing “kor kor”, “orgy”, “lover”, “monster” (call signs) and those that i’ve missed, work – i’d really love to be part of the NDP.

i love working behind the scenes. would i ever get the chance to work under huge pressure such as the NDP?

if only they allowed camera phones in – then i could show you what it looked like.

they even showed us what it looked like using a nightvision goggle. it’s the coolest binoculars i’ve looked through. it’s green – i love green – save the world!

words simply can’t describe my journey today, but i’ll leave you with a few words:

mr muthu was a different person today.
