STUCK!

i know i shouldn’t be posting now. but heh, it’s 918pm! (my study “curfew” is up till 9pm).

if you asked me whether today was an ordinary day, i’d prove you wrong. and i will right now. it’s been a routine for the past 1 year or more. leave home for tuition at stanley ho’s place, get information trashed at us. after the torture, we’ll get our sorry asses back home.

but today was different. this photo should partially explain what i’m saying:

if you thought the lift jammed, i’d give you a hi-5 and a pbj sandwich! for you guessed it right.

i won’t brag about what exactly happened but we were trying to calm each other down, praying, and wait for help to come.

it’s my first time so…i did overreact a little.

DUDE. i totally POSED FOR THE CAMERA -.- (kudos to atticus!)

when the police and scdf people came to our rescue, we were more than delighted to co-operate and get our asses out of the 15-year old lift.

it was fun while it lasted. i remember taking a video and interviewing each of us in the lift. it was the time when we couldn’t stop laughing.

anyway, mid-year examination starts tomorrow so i’ve come up with an ingenious self-study makan package. here it is: tadah!

mid-year examination 2008

the pre-paper for the annual mid-year examinations (for SA) starts tomorrow, so here’s a quick summary of my target scores:

English – B3
AMaths – A2
Combined Science – B3
Combined Humans – B4
CL’B’ – PASS (fat hope! hopefully, lol)

notice that i don’t have emaths and poa in the list. :p

ACSL Updates

i just spent 20 minutes (it’s 1015pm now) updating the ACSL Rules, bringing the release to 1.6.

release 1.6 will not be made public. instead, release 1.7 will be made public next week. release 1.7 will be the last and major rules release for the rules.

once taken off from the download, the acsl rules will have a release jump to 2.0 where it will seek the public’s final approval.

the community is advised to voice out their opinions and comments on the rules. you may still download release 1.4 of the rules. go get the link yourself.

today has got to be the most interesting day in my entire SA life. it’s pretty simple why actually – jeremy (being mr. clean) asked us, during free period, how the word pedophile is spelt.

and you know, those people who couldn’t spell actually confused us. so we took out the dictionary in search of the word.

i was very sure the word was spelt as pedophile. BUT NO ONE BELIEVED ME.

jerome said it was phedophile
yiwei said it was paedophile
benlai said something else

this frustrated jeremy. his reaction was hilarious when everyone told him different spellings of the word.

one of the dictionary we used.

guess what: we checked 8 to 10 dictionaries. but to no avail, we couldn’t locate the word, leaving the historian, karl marx nicholas, unhappy.

in this shot, karl went like. “there’s no pedophile! after PEACOCKS is PEANUTS!!

and if you don’t know how the word is spelt, here it is:

i wonder what tomorrow has install for us. and i’m sick to the core.

if only i had handled things properly. then i wouldn’t be so sick now.
