my popcorn reviews
i’ll post up some pictures tomorrow. but for now, here are 2 reviews on 2 different movies that i watched over the past 2 days.
the first movie: forgetting sarah marshall
rating: M18
my personal rating: 8/10
this movie serves a good mix of love, comedy and excitement (which is mainly catered for the boys). don’t be decided by the name: it’s not a bgr movie but it could be a couple (husband/wife) movie. who knows what’ll happen after a couple leaves the cinema.
if you’re the cheap singaporean type who values every single cent, your money will be well worth spent as it’s runtime is approximately 2 hours. my ass did ache after i got up.
however, there are a several scenes that even had my turning away for that momentary period. nonetheless, i did enjoy myself and i’d give this movie a must watch. in shaun terms, a must watch in cinema, not worth renting it.
of course, you must be 18 before you can get a ticket into the cinema. don’t ask me how i watched this movie.
and finally:
babylon AD
rating: PG
my personal rating: 4.5/10
don’t be deceived by the name and poster of the movie. i’ll admit it, it’s a nice movie title. but the movie itself didn’t live up to its standards. i thought the story line was very weak. we left the cinema confused.
to make up for it, there were a hell lot of action scenes: ranging from bomb explosions to assassinations. this is definitely the one thing that i personally enjoyed. thankfully, the aircondition in the cinema was cold. if not, i would have walked out of the cinema.
there are some movies that are worth to be watched in the cinema, and some rented. in my opinion, this movie is more worth to be rented.
i may sound bored, but i’m not. honest.
