here’s the post summary for this blog post =]

- internal crisis
- pool at bukit batok
- ‘far away’ lyrics

internal crisis
i’m not gonna holdback and admit that i’ve a problem – a problem that neither work or studies can solve.

working was my solution to a problem that i encountered 2 years ago. but today, it’s interference with my life has made couple of my friends to ask me to tone down and enjoy my youth.

my problem isn’t about anyone, it’s within myself.

it took me awhile to realise that i was over-committing, going over what my body could handle. but that’s a problem that’ll take me a while to work out.

collaboration over competition. that’ll probably help me relax – perhaps.

i need to talk to someone about it – i can’t keep it within me anymore.

pool at bukit batok
last saturday, my dpa orientation group played pool at bukit batok.

i did enjoy myself spending time with people that i haven’t met in a longgggg while =]

far away lyrics
my obsession for nickelback doesn’t end at the song “gotta be somebody” (sorry dhinesh! i still love fall out boy!). it also extends to songs like If ‘Today Was Your Last Day’ and ‘Far Away’.

i was reading through the lyrics of Far Away and part of the lyrics got me thinking.

i now leave you with the first stanza of the song.

This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there’s just one left
‘Cause you know,
you know, you know

5 days just came and went in a blink of an eye. at this point in time, i’m still trying to adapt to the new study environment even though it’s been 3 weeks.

i miss secondary school a lot. i really do. i miss it because i miss the people i used to study with. i miss the way we have our fun and all.

and that’s one of the reason why i started to podcast. allowing my feelings to flow through the internet waves via audio. (even though no one listens to it)

podcast episode 3 and 3.5 were recently released (we did that podcast on 7may) and it’s our best one yet. we did make fun of a group of people. but as episode 3.5 shows, we can’t have much fun if there weren’t a group of people to make fun of.

and we are looking for people to come on as guest speakers to our podcast. if you’re interested, do contact me =]

anyway, here’s the post summary.

- trip to NUS
- bLAW presentation

trip to NUS
NUS is huge. on wednesday, i stepped foot into the campus that is so big, we had to take the shuttle buses to get to our destination.

to cut the long story short, i’ve been inspired to study at a local university….until…reuben told me his university life.

the view from where we were

i’ll strive for excellence in my 3 years in NP. then i’ll contemplate if i want my ass in a local uni

bLAW presentation
our bLAW presentation took place on thursday and gosh did we know nobody. but i know that we (yuhan, serena and myself) presented well.

here’s a photo that i took while the other 2 were preparing.

I NEED A BREATHER, a break. ANYTHING.

it’s one of those weeks that work, studies and life has pushed me to the brink of breaking down. i’m still dreaming of the day that’ll allow me to hang out, worry-less, with my friends down orchard road.

well, the closest i could get to was a trip to Serangoon Gardens with jonald, zhen wei, benlan, dhinesh and kai lun. here are 2 photos i took.

the prata place we ate at. i’m still in search of a halal-certified stalls that actually serves halal pork. i know i can find one at a vegetarian stall: but it might not be halal certified :\

how i wish i could have a worry-less outing with my friends once again. an outing when i don’t have to worry about any work due in the coming days.

this week is a crazy week – crowded with meetings and interviews, on top of my daily life happenings. thursday’s interview galore and well, a meeting tomorrow for xtc.

something is still missing, though.
