if there’s one thing i failed at, that’s to keep this blog updated as long as possible. nevermind, better late than never yeah?

frag at source haven
the frag at source haven (FRASH), a counter-strike source event initiated by jason “tuna” ho and organised under Xtreme Chaotix LLP, was held at GameHaven on 19 September.

It saw a total of 11 teams fighting out for cash prizes and free GameHaven LAN hours.

i’m quite thankful to gamehaven that they allowed us to use their function room. it was a cozy room with a big projector screen and cozy sofas that allowed teams (who were waiting for their turn) to watch the matches live in the room

thonners outing
gosh, i’m almost 2 weeks late! it’s been ages since we (valerie, yong chee, natiara, muthu and myself) met up. so we did it, 2 weeks ago.

we ate at manhatten fish market, although i didn’t grab a bite since i had already eaten dinner with my family (because kor was going to be enlisted in NS the following day) before that.

even though it was simple, i had fun catching up with the people that i miss dearly

after dinner, we headed down to orchard central to window shop

rudy speaks at PLMGS
last monday (if i’m not mistaken), rudy was invited to speak at paya lebar methodist girls school, to give a talk on entrepreneurship. he had asked me to tag along to help him take some photos.

so here i am, sharing some of the photos i’ve taken

my birthday treat

today, i promise to make a post every day for the next 1-2 weeks . so let’s get going!

well, i somehow bought my own birthday present way in advanced. but the thing that i bought would only come on my birthday.

yes, i pre-ordered fifa 10!

well, it did cost me a hefty SGD 64.90, 4 dollars more than the retail price of FIFA 09 when it was released.

but still, it’s a good buy – considering it’s a birthday present to myself and that i’m in love with soccer and all. the game will be released on the 2nd of october, but i’ll only be collecting it on the 3rd of october. yay me.

you would probably notice 4 (ace) cards beside the pre-order card. they’re part of a new magic trick that i just learnt! a simple trick yet fun to practise and perform.

final goodbye

gone were the days of chinese classes ever since the day we graduated from secondary school. but even though, there’s one thing that i’ll forever take home from chinese class.

and that’s the ever inspiration mr koh, our clb teacher.

when others gave up hope on us, he continued believing in us. when others didn’t want to teach us, he taught us. when others scolded, he inspired.

mr koh is a one in a million. though we always test his patience during class, he persevered on. and that is one thing i’ll remember forever, always.

rest in peace, mr koh.

xtc bbq

you know when people tell you to dream big and go full steam ahead…but when you make your first step, you fail?

well, things are never as easy as some think it is. but with proper guidance, help and a lot of support from friends and families, your dream may not be as far-fetched as you think it is. in fact, it’s so close that you could grab it.

it just takes some innovation, motivation and inspiration.

looking back, i’m still in awe about how i organised my first gaming event back on 4 september 2005 (i still remember it’s a sunday!). i still hold some memories about it. people who believed in me, even though i was a 13 year-old kid who had no track record and a big mouth.

it’s been 4 years. today, i’ve another dream. and that dream…well, you’ll find out about it soon.
