3 days after i posted the ‘teaser’ post, the real thing is finally here.

i was lying down on my home sofa enjoying the game of soccer (which reminds me, i left kor’s hamster in the ball downstairs. shit shit shit) when i thought of what should go up onto today’s post. after all, it’s been almost a week since i last updated.

and so, here’s the post summary (the longer one) for your viewing pleasure.

- dhinesh’s 18th birthday
- no podcast this week (but there’s corn!)
- random photos

dhinesh’s 18th birthday
dhinesh is 18! though his birthday celebration wasn’t so fantastic (we didn’t have cake!) as we wanted it to be, it was a fantastic boys-only day out – something we haven’t had for months.

having red wax in my bag, i thought that it would be nice to put some on his hair and make him walk round east coast park with it.

all eyes were on the indian!

dhinesh, mark, me

i don’t think you can really see what’s in his hair. i think it’s more obvious on the photos taken by jimmy’s phone. i shall wait till he posts it up.

no podcast this week!
due to an unfortunate chain of events, episode 5 of East Meets West did not hit the airwaves as scheduled.

but there’s corn!

photo588

fret not, it has been rescheduled to this friday. the podcast title has been temporarily named skyb reunion.

random photos
ever since watching the thai version of shutter, i’ve been too afraid to snap photos with my phone. if you believed me, you’re an idiot.

no seriously, you’re one.

it’s just that laziness and low battery power has prevented me from taking candid shots like i used to. (dang, why must low battery spoil the fun all the time!)

nonetheless, here are 2 random photos =]

photo5871
frustrated, i took a photo of the lecturer and his slide during a lecture.

and can anyone guess, what this is?
photo589
no prizes for the person who gets it right though. but there’s no harm trying yeah? D:

and, CHECK OUT LIFE IN MY ROOM!
photo591
i promised myself that i’ll pack my room on thursday. i promised myself just now that i’ll pack it up first thing tomorrow. i helped promised for the tomorrow-me that i’ll pack this thursday.

sweetheart symphony
my wildest imagination has always wanted me to live a love story – one similar hollywood films and movies. being able to sing a love song to a girl with emotions. the closest i got to that this year was singing “Truly Madly Deeply” to muthu during the bintan camp.

but i know that i’ll never be able to live it anytime soon.

my responsibilities and commitments have been non-stop piling up so much that i’m unable to cope with life.

when opportunities come, i’m unable to grasp them. but over the past few days, i’ve had friends who bothered to ask and talk to me: helping me to think of the brighter aspect of life. i thank you guys for everything!

i’m not perfect, but i know that life could be through the right perception.

the other time i posted up the lyrics of “Far Away” by nickelback, i posted the first verse which didn’t really reflect my thoughts. here’s the chorus, which does.

[CHORUS]
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you’ll be with me
and you’ll never go
Stop breathing if
I don’t see you anymore

On my knees, I’ll ask
Last chance for one last dance
‘Cause with you, I’d withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I’d give it all
I’d give for us
Give anything but I won’t give up
‘Cause you know,
you know, you know

until then, world.

5 days just came and went in a blink of an eye. at this point in time, i’m still trying to adapt to the new study environment even though it’s been 3 weeks.

i miss secondary school a lot. i really do. i miss it because i miss the people i used to study with. i miss the way we have our fun and all.

and that’s one of the reason why i started to podcast. allowing my feelings to flow through the internet waves via audio. (even though no one listens to it)

podcast episode 3 and 3.5 were recently released (we did that podcast on 7may) and it’s our best one yet. we did make fun of a group of people. but as episode 3.5 shows, we can’t have much fun if there weren’t a group of people to make fun of.

and we are looking for people to come on as guest speakers to our podcast. if you’re interested, do contact me =]

anyway, here’s the post summary.

- trip to NUS
- bLAW presentation

trip to NUS
NUS is huge. on wednesday, i stepped foot into the campus that is so big, we had to take the shuttle buses to get to our destination.

to cut the long story short, i’ve been inspired to study at a local university….until…reuben told me his university life.

the view from where we were

i’ll strive for excellence in my 3 years in NP. then i’ll contemplate if i want my ass in a local uni

bLAW presentation
our bLAW presentation took place on thursday and gosh did we know nobody. but i know that we (yuhan, serena and myself) presented well.

here’s a photo that i took while the other 2 were preparing.

UNTIL NEXT TIME FOLKS! and don’t forget to listen to episode 3 (and 3.5!!)!

revelation

the latest happenings have often been catching me off guard. still, i’m still gonna celebrate.

here’s the post summary:-

- rugby by the city skyline
- xtc photo shoot

rugby by the city skyline
st andrews played acs in the police cup rugby finals last wednesday at the padang. it was a good change for the event, considering that the previous location the event was held at was inaccessible very far away for many.

photo5631
rugby by the city skyline

photo564
the referees sorting out a foul committed by a player (i can’t remember by which team)

to the happiness of many saints, our school rugby team won by a convincing margin of 17-10.

photo565
saints gathering around the rugby team to celebrate

as for ACS, fret not. the best is yet to be. heh.

and it’s time for my personal reflections for this event.

as an experienced events organiser, this event was poorly organised. the event felt like any other rugby qualifiers. the action on the field was horrendous and players from both side lacked sportsmanship.

officials lacked the authority and the set-up for the event was disappointing.

xtc photo shoot
the photo shoot for xtreme chaotix staff and players took place last friday at singapore poly. thanks to jason for allowing us to take photos there!

here are some of the photos

photo571
hammy (middle) is probably the luckiest guy in xtc. i mean seriously: he has 4 girls to himself!

photo573

it truly was fun and amazing. especially when it’s the first time for me. if you’re itchy to see one of my photos, here it is. (thanks to jason again for sending it to me. heh)

until then!

wow, time has flown by so fast that i haven’t had the time to blog! and i’ve (almost) lived up to SHAUN TIME! (linkable page).

hop on over to see what SHAUN TIME is in Real Time!

i was digging up my old domain stuff when i stumbled into that. so yeah. if you wanna hang out with me, make sure you make a reference to shaun time. it’s quite old though. couple of years old.

i’ll have it updated soon, for the sake of many :D

anyway, i’ve too many topics to cover that i’ve to classify categories into days.

so here’s the post summary for the days:

i was supposed to have a gym session with kor, but i cancelled it (cause i was genuinely tired :D ) the meeting with andrew was also cancelled, so i had lots of time on my hand.

and when you have time, who do you call?

the duckie! my quack master: jonald

here’s 1 snapshot i took during the training (oh and if you were wondering, i was being a calefare)

photo554

what a better way to end a training with nothing else but PIZZA!

photo555
if i’m not mistaken, i ordered chicken teriyaki and hawaiian pizza :D

tuesday
a trip to the zoo

i’m waiting for more photos on this. when i get them, i’ll dedicate a post on the trip =]

for now, we (cheri, qiheng, adeline, hua xiang, melissa and myself) found a really nice place to take photos at.

and it’s somewhere in the zoo:
