Since 2005, at the age of 13, I’ve held a big interest in business and working behind-the-scenes. With it, led to my first initiated project dubbed the “VirtuaLeague 2005″. I was in it for the experience and nothing else. Nominated to be the ‘President’ by the organising committee, i worked with main sponsor ‘Starhub’ and oversaw the overall progression of the league.
During the course of the league, i picked up many important skills relating to business. However, that did not stop me from wanting to learn more.
Thus, i continued developing my business-related skills in school by initiating and organising 2 intra-school gaming events in 2006 and 2007. For both events, i held meetings, come up with proposals and worked with various HODs and Teachers in school.
Later In mid-2007, i was appointed the Chairman of my school’s ‘Young Entrepreneur’s Society’, where i was incharge of several business aspects of the club. I also worked on other business-related projects and went for business courses in and out of school. Also, Republic Polytechnic conducted a course for some Accounts students and club members, where we practised everything we learnt about business during the course at NLB Bugis, where we operated several pushcarts for 2 days.
In the same year, i represented my school at the annual “National Accounting Quiz” organised by Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Though our school team did not make it through to the finals that year, we participated once more in 2008 where our school team took home the Champions trophy.
Today, i’m working on 2 major projects in what i call my ‘debut’ year. To do so, i’m working with X-Synergy Group Pte Ltd and once again, i’m in it solely for the experience.
